An original Michigander, Sara grew up in Grand Rapids, spent summers in Macatawa, and thinks West Michigan is absolutely the perfect place to call home, winters and all. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Economics and Sociology. She has had careers in financial planning, commercial real estate, and survived the mortgage banking merger decade of the 90’s. Shortly thereafter, Sara and husband, Tom, started a family and built their home here in Holland. While raising their two daughters, Anna and Elle, Sara developed a passion for kids and the value of education both near and far. As a church volunteer, she started a child sponsorship program supporting the educational and spiritual needs of HIV orphans in Zambia. She also serves on two internationally focused Boards. Closer to home, Sara has a passion for kids learning to swim and safely enjoy the water. She has seen first-hand the benefits of swimming as her daughters learned, trained and competed. As a 13-year volunteer on the Holland Aquatic Center board. She has been instrumental in HAC’s 30M renovation and community expansion project. Sara loves puzzles and approaches working with her clients as having the pieces that together with her knowledge, attention to detail, and teamwork create a beautiful picture of home. When choosing to buy or sell your home, Sara goes above and beyond to get the most for your investment. Outside of work, she loves being on the water, playing pickleball, reading, and traveling.
